How to apply for a unit at The Meadow View

Market Units – Rental Rates:
1-Bedroom Unit (596 st. ft) $1281 plus utilities per month
2-Bedroom Unit (697 sq. ft) $1588 plus utilities per month

Affordable Units – Rental Rates:
Studio Unit (452 sq. ft) $685/month including utilities.

All rentals will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, upon receipt of a completed rental agreement and fulfillment and approval of any financial background checks.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This 3 floor building includes two elevators.

Parking is available on site. Each unit will be granted one free parking space, and additional spaces may be available upon request for a fee.

Each unit comes standard with a stainless steel fridge and a glass top stove. Tenants are responsible for paying their own utilities including hydro, internet and cable services as these are not included in the base rent.

  • Electric Heat & Hydro is provided through Hydro One and not included in the monthly rental fee.
  • Air conditioning is available in each unit and is not included in the monthly rental fee.
  • Internet is provided through Bell DSL. Fibre will be available in the future and can be switched out when available. Internet is not included in the monthly rental fee.
  • Phone services are provided through Bell and not included in the monthly rental fee. .
  • Satellite TV is provided through Shaw and not included in the monthly rental fee.
A common room is available for residents to book, upon request for a fee.

Yes, pay per use laundry is available on site.

Yes, tenant insurance will be required.

At The Meadow View, we recognize that there are many known health benefits of owning and being responsible for a pet, especially for older people who are living alone. Whether you have a trusty support dog, a cat who likes to soak up the sun while resting by the window, or a faithful couch companion, pets are considered family here.

Please note that while we consider ourselves to be pet friendly, we are also beholden to other residents.

To ensure that all residents enjoy a safe, peaceful lifestyle, The Meadow View has implemented the following restrictions for pets:

➢ All animals are to be leashed at all times, when outside a tenant’s private unit.
➢ Pets must be friendly and non-disruptive and must not interfere with the reasonable enjoyment of any other tenant.
➢ Pet owners are expected to take full responsibility for their pet’s proper grooming, feeding and other care.
➢ Maximum 2 dogs per unit, as per the Municipality of Powassan’s By-Law 2020-14, Section 5(b)
➢ Animals are not permitted in hallways, the common areas or the exterior grounds without being under the care and control of a responsible and capable person.
➢ All pets must hold a current and valid tag as per the Municipality of Powassan’s Animal Control By-law 202­0-14, Section 5(a), and to satisfy all other criteria as outlined in the aformentioned municipal By-Law. All pets are required to be current with vaccinations including rabies. Proof of vaccination may be required.

Any pets that are found to continuously disrupt reasonable enjoyment of the building by other residents, or if the pet is deemed harmful or undesirable by other residents, the tenant may be asked to remove the pet from the premises.

Yes, air conditioning has been installed in each unit. Usage fees are to be paid by tenant, as this has not been included in the base monthly rental fee.

Yes, all units include windows that open.

Garbage chutes are available on each floor next to the elevator.
